Current Obsession - Decorating

Good Saturday to you!

As you may know, John and I are getting our own place soon. Now, in my head I imagine us buying all these excellent vintage finds and funky little decorative pieces and have our home all nice and awesome straight away. However, it probably won't happen that quickly!

So, here's kind of what I'm planning as an end result... :)

I also don't want to make it too girly, as it's a place for both of us!

So how about I get this framed??

And as we're both Harry Potter fans - how bout this?

And I really want to make this and put it in our kitchen!

I'm also a big fan of turquoise.

And I'd also love to make one of these to put in our room

Anyway, so that's what I've been looking at this afternoon, hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!

Sunflower Fields!

Sunflowers. Don't they just make you want to smile??

Well my boyfriend's Dad told me about sunflower fields that he's seen in Western NSW, and I'm so excited about making a trip there! I've always wanted to take some pictures somewhere like that, out in the country and the fields! Check out my pinterest board! :) And, speaking of photography, my friend Ruthie would like me to do a shoot with her little baby Ruby and her husband - so I'm very excited about that! :)

In other news, tomorrow is Anzac Day which is a day we remember the Aussies who fought in WW1, and we'll be having a BBQ and a chill out!

So I hope you're having a GREAT week!

Sydney Royal Easter Show!

Here in Sydney, we have a royal show that's on around Easter every year. It has rides, showbags, horse shows, cow shows, fireworks, Aussie Outback performances and much more!

John's family and I went on the weekend and it was lots of fun (and pretty exhausting!). So if you're in Sydney around Easter next year, check it out! :)

Hope you're all having a wonderful week so far! :)

Hi all,

I'm looking for people to photograph! I'm based in Sydney, Australia (and I know most of you are based overseas) but if you have any friends or family visiting who'd like some shots taken please point them my way!
I do engagements, portraits, pets, children etc!

Happy Easter!

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter! Whether you celebrate it or not, or just have an extra excuse to eat chocolate (ahem, me); or if you're going away with loved ones I hope it's an excellent long weekend!

And for those of you who don't like chocolate or just can't eat it - how do you celebrate? Do you make fun Easter baskets? Or buy yogurt/carob eggs or bunnies? Or get flowers? (I did, see second pic of my orange flowers!) I'd love to know!

DIY Framed Chalkboard

Have you guys watched The Hunger Games yet? Read the books? What did you think?? I read the books about  2 years ago, and we saw the movie on Saturday night and I thought it was excellent!
And also, John is now reading the books! :)

Anyway, a few weeks ago I made an ornate framed chalkboard for my photoshoot - and I'm really happy the way it turned out! It was sooo easy too; as in, white paint and chalkboard paint.

See?

I bought the chipboard at Spotlight, but they should have something similar at any craft store. I'm thinking of buying another for another DIY - so I'll post it when I do! :)

Farewell March!

March has been a pretty busy month for me! There have been new friends made, new things learnt, new experiences, new movies watched (The Hunger Games, yay!) my first photo shoot and much more!

Check out my pictures below :)

Crossing the Sydney Harbor Bridge on a beautiful Sunday

How cool is this pic? It's almost like it's out of the 1920's or something!

The Hunger Games. 'Nuff said.

How was your March? Hope it was fantastic!

Ad for April

Well this is something really exciting; as you know I'm new to blogging and still learning the ropes. The lovely Marilyn from Pulp Sushi  has suggested an Ad Swap! I think it's a fantastic idea and you can see my button on her blog :)

So if any of you would like to swap ads with me next month, feel free to let me know! (No charge of course, it's a swap!).
