Jo Totes Camera Bag (heading my way!)

Oh, I can't tell you how stoked I am to be getting a gorgeous camera bag. From Jo Totes. That's right.

I'm gettin' this one.

Picture me doing the running man around my kitchen, I'm that excited.

I can't wait to be able to carry my camera with me wherever I go (and not risk extreme damage by putting it in my "Hermione" bag -  Harry Potter fans will know what I mean).

Sydney

As some of you know, Sydney is my capital city.

As times I don't like it, the bustling and speed of the city can be overwhelming.

But sometimes, it takes a view like this to get a little perspective! :) 

One day though, I'd like to live on a farm, with a view like this:

I think we'll have a few chickens, maybe a cow or a goat. Lots of dogs. It's definitely a goal.

I Just Love the Smell of Old Books

To me, there's something amazing about the smell of old books. I've always loved going into second hand books stores, and searching the shelves for something awesome.
There's an excellent second hand book store in Glebe, called Sappho Books. They have heaps of old books, first editions, sheet music and a lovely little cafe - that becomes a wine and tapas bar at night!

However, my most recent purchase was a little more modern. I bought it from eBay!

So, do you shop in second hand bookstores? Or do you prefer your books brand-spankin new? Or, do you own an e-reader? I'd love to know!

Happy Monday (Giveaway tomorrow!)

This past weekend was lots of fun. I spent some quality time with my mum, and then with my pregnant friend (she's 21 weeks - it's gone by so quick!) which, naturally, makes me go a little baby-crazy! :)

Yesterday we took Marley to the beach, which was just too funny.

And yes. I like putting my dog in little jumpers. Don't judge me. 

I also bought a brand new foundation, which actually matches my skin tone. Unlike my last one, which made me look like a ghost.

On another note, I'm super excited to have my first giveaway tomorrow! As you may know, I photographed a jewelry range for a friend of mine, called Bling Trees. They're lovely sparkly earrings, and I have 3 pairs of sterling silver pairs to give away! I'll have it open worldwide, so all you have to do is enter, and I'll select 1 random winner!

DIY Bathroom Storage/Jewelry Stand

I have a little bit of habit of collecting stuff. Cosmetics, clothes, shoes... So this weekend I made a bathroom storage stand (I've seen them around on Pinterest - check out my DIY board) so our bathroom could look a little less cluttered!

So much better. 

This is how I did it: 

One small, one large plate

Candlestick (I bought mine from Dusk)

Decorative paper (craft store) 

Crystal clear laminating spray (craft store)

Super glue (gel form works better for this)

Trace the inner circle of the plate on the paper with a light pencil or chalk (pen comes through!). 

Cut out the paper, and super glue it onto the plate. Let it set. 

Spray plates with laminating spray, wait at least an hour for it to set. I'd advise doing it outside - it's quite smelly! 

Once both plates are dry, use the super glue to attach the candlestick to each plate. Press down firmly. 

Wait an hour or so, then put it in your bathroom! You could also make use it as a cake or jewelry stand :)  

It definitely made my bathroom more guest-worthy for the BBQ we had on the weekend!

Well I finished photographing the jewellery line for Bling Trees which was lots of fun. Her range is sparkly (Swarovski Crystals and others!) and fun, and I had fun photographing it for her!

Pleather Love

Ah pleather, you're awesome. You keep me warm during these awful winter days and you're man-made (so I don't have to feel guilty about wearing you!).

I bought pencil one on the weekend, and I'm still trying to figure out what it works best with.

Vintage Weekend

I love markets. And second hand shops. The things you can find are just amazing!

We also had brekkie at a little cafe, where they had blankets for your laps! I haven't seen that before! 

Certainly helped keep the chill at bay :)
