Getting Inspired

Hi readers!

I hope you're having a fantastic week so far. I've been a little MIA recently, urgh, trying to find my mojo among other things!

But you know what helps? Reading other blogs - getting inspired. I see what other awesome bloggers blog about, and how excited they get about a photoshoot or giveaway or even just something awesome that's happened to them - their happiness is contagious! I think my problem sometimes is trying to channel it into one thing at a time! Ya know?

Anyway, Marilyn from Pulp Sushi - she's my ad swapper, and a fab one at that - has a fantastic giveaway right now. I love the funky designs on the tee's - you should really check it out. I have a friend who suits them to a T!

So, thanks to Marilyn and Gabby- you guys knocked my inspiration socks off.

My Life List

It's sort of like a bucket list (but not in a morbid way!); there are so many things I want to do and see that I need to make a list!

I'm sure I'll add more but this is what I've got so far.
(In no particular order)

1. See France, Italy, Wales, Canada
2. See the Northern Lights.
3. Take some really incredible pictures
4. Meet some fellow bloggers/photographers from around the globe
5. Do a road trip around France, Italy, Wales with my boyfriend
6. Grow my own veggies
7. Get engaged
8. Get married
9. Become a mum
10. Visit one of my best friends in Canada (you know who you are!)
11. Learn to dance (swing/salsa/rockabilly)
12. Run a marathon
13. Learn French
14. See the Louvre

Do you have a life list? I've never actually written one before but it makes me excited for the future! If you have any you'd like to share, feel free to put them in the comments! :)

Quote of the Day - Friday 10th February 2012

So it's Friday again, (hello weekend!) which means that I have another quote for you. This one is actually from a favorite book, and more often than not I find myself referring to it, so I'd like to share it with you.

"The difference between a good situation, and a bad situation,
lay only in ones perception."
- Teo (The Ancient Future by Traci Harding)

Sometimes you can find inspiration and motivation in the most unexpected places, so look around!

Below is a cute pic, which I plan to mimic in my upcoming photoshoot.

Hey life, I'm coming to get you

So, after being at my current job for 3 1/2 years, I have decided to resign!
It's a big step for me, but I'm very excited.

I've decided to pursue photography, and although the job I'm going to isn't a photography job, it is part time which will enable me to have time to do a correspondence course and spend more time taking photos and exploring the possibilities.

But I probably wouldn't have even entertained the notion of going part time and pursuing photography if it wasn't for all the amazing photography blogs that I've been reading, namely Gabby from En Route Photography. She has really inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a photographer and for that I'm very grateful.

So wish me luck, I'll probably need it!

Happy Hump Day!

So my photoshoot is coming up soon, and I've been madly looking for things I'd like to include.

I like to think I know my best friend pretty well, so I hope she'll like what I've got in mind!

Here's some of the pics from my pinterest board, feel free to follow or check out my other pins!
